Let’s Scare Jessica to Death(1971) – 8/10. A very bizarre, moody and creepy film that no one seems to remember. If this doesn’t scare you, I don’t know what will.

Bad Ronald(1974) – 8/10. This film is so long forgotten that it has never even been released on DVD but I still highly recommend it if you can find the VHS or a download. It is a very original premise and creepy as hell.

Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead(2009) – 2/10. I thought Wrong Turn 2 was bad, which it was, but it comes no where near the misery that this film will bring you. Bad acting, worse writing and amateur camera work leave this movie for dead.

Law Abiding Citizen(2009) – 6/10. It always bothers me when critics get upset because a movie is illogical. It’s art, the beauty is that it doesn’t have to be logical! With that said, this film was fun but I really hated Jamie Foxx’s character and the ending killed the rest of the story.

The Evil Dead(1981) – 10/10. Sam Raimi may be my favorite director. Everything about this film is perfect to me. It’s creepy, original, and very well done

Where the Wild Things Are(2009) – 4/10. There are impressive effects through out this film but it was a book that should have been left alone and not translated into film. The problem is that the whole sense of fun has been taken out of the picture. It’s overly dramatic and I don’t understand how any child will want to watch this one over and over. Screw you, Spike Jonze!

Wrong Turn(2003) – 7/10. By no means the best horror film of recent years but inbred rednecks and loads of gore is never a bad thing.

Trick ‘r Treat(2008) – 9/10. A new Halloween tradition for me will be to watch this movie. It is an extremely well done little horror flick and it’s a real shame that it was a straight to video release. This deserved a good run in theaters!

Deadbeat at Dawn(1988) – 8/10. A very well done and effective revenge story with plenty of blood and guts to make any gore hound happy.

Let the Right One In(2008) – 10/10. What a vampire love story should be – scary, gory and heartfelt. This is the film the Twilight was trying to be but miserably failed at. It truly does make Twilight look like a Disney Channel original movie.

Paranormal Activity(2007) – 5/10. Everyone’s been eagerly awaiting a wide release of this film and this week, we got it. While it is impressive for such a low budget, it really is not scary and doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Everything Paranormal Activity did, The Blair Witch Project did better.

Dark Ride(2006) – 3/10. This goes in the cheesy fun category that should never be taken seriously. It’s an awful film that has no scares but you’ll probably find yourself laughing fairly often.

Halloween II(2009) – 1/10. Even worse than the 2007 remake and I had doubted that that was possible. This is Zombie’s biggest mess to date.

The Final Destination(2009) – 1/10. It’s pretty much a carbon copy of the first three films. Death chases people and they die, the end.

13 Ghosts(1960) – 8/10. A very fun and sometimes creepy little sixties film that has sadly been forgotten from the world because of the awful remake that was put in its place. Yes, it’s cheesy but it entertains just as well as anything. It’s great for the Halloween season coming up!

Midnight Movie(2008) – 6/10. A wonderfully imaginitive and original premise that is unraveled by it’s annoying characters and cliché ending. Watch it with low standards.

The Hills Run Red(2009) – 4/10. After reading the reviews of this film, I was really excited to see a return to classic horror. That’s not what I got with this. While it has its moments and plenty of good gore, it is mostly just a typical teen slasher flick. I also found the premise to be too similar to John Carpenter’s Cigarette Burns.

Memorial Valley Massacre(1988) – 2/10. There are two kinds of films in this world: films that should be taken seriously and reviewed as such and films that are great to sit down to and laugh at. This movie falls into the latter category. Everything about it sucks but that’s what makes it so entertaining.

Mother of Tears(2007) – 8/10. Argento is definitely back folks! While it doesn’t quite compare to some of his earlier stuff, this is a great film that returns to the classic 70’s filmmaking style. I don’t understand why so many people hate on this one.

Pieces(1982) – 2/10. Cheesy fun but nothing else.

Zombieland(2009) – 9/10. The best zombie film in years. In my opinion, it’s even better than Shaun of the Dead. There are remnants of the classics such as Dawn of the Dead. You’ll laugh very hard but there are also genuinely terrifying moments.
